2018 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale | Huge Guide with Tips and Pricing

The 2018 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is going to be one of the biggest and best sales for the year. Who’s excited?! If you aren’t familiar with the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale, in summary it is a quick and very popular two-three day event where Lilly slashes prices. Big time. After a few years of participating in the sale, I have learned the techniques to be successful in the After Party Sale. I am going to share tip, tricks and price estimates for this season’s sales.

First a few quick facts about the 2018 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale:

The After Party Sale is the only time to buy Lilly Pulitzer on sale on their website.
The discounts are HUGE.
The sale lasts two days online. (With a big exception listed below!)
All sales are final.
Shipping is free but may take a few weeks.
It is an extremely popular sale online and in Lilly Pulitzer stores.

Everything you need to know for the 2018 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale to help you get the most for your money and the best items:

The sale online starts January 3-4, 2018. Lilly Pulitzer stores will start the After Party Sale on January 2 at 9am in store. Store selection may be more limited but it’s the best way to truly see and feel the items on sale. Expect a line outside the stores to start early in the morning.
Set up a Lilly Pulitzer account in advance. Have shipping and credit card information entered. Just because an item is in your virtual shopping cart does not mean it is yours until the purchase is complete. Know your ‘True Fit’ sizing in advance so you can most accurate find the correct size. This is important since all sales are final.
Be ready for the online sale to start. The sale usually begins at 7am CST in the morning. By 7:01 there will be a virtual line to get into the sale on the Lilly website that is several thousand people long. Starting at 6:59 am I click refresh often until the sale begins. Once you are in the sale or in a virtual line, do not click refresh. If you refresh while in the virtual line you will lose your place and the wait time will start over.

The virtual line to get into the sale online usually goes faster than predicted. For example, if the wait time is listed at an hour, you will often have access to the sale faster. There is a ringing sound that is made when you are moved from the virtual line into the After Party Sale.
Plan in advance and shop quickly. Items go very fast, especially more popular items like unique prints, embroidered items, and jewelry. Shift dresses, above all, tend to go first. Know what you want from the sale in advance. Refer to my After Party Sale 2018 Pricing Estimates guide below to help budget your wishlist. Remember items are not reserved just because they are in your shopping cart. The purchase must be completed in order to reserve items. Once you complete the purchase, if you want to re-enter the sale you have to start the wait time over again.
Check back on the sale periodically for added items. Lilly Pulitzer will add new items to the sale throughout the sale. Usually the second day of the online sale has a handful of new pieces and minimal to no wait time. Lilly Pulitzer often notifies customers over social media or email when new items are added.
Stock up on gifts for others. I love giving my mom a beautiful Lilly Pulitzer cashmere cardigan and the sale is the perfect time to take advantage of high quality gifts at a fraction of the price.

1/2/18 Update: My friend and I went to the sneak peek today in stores and it’s definitely worth stopping by if you live near a Lilly Pulitzer store. The January sale does not have the crowds like the August sale. The selection is limited as the stores have to send a large amount of merchandise back to headquarters prior to the sale, however there were several racks and bins with big sales. At my closest store (Dallas, TX), wraps available started at $39, phone cases at $9, several purses/totes under $99, shift dresses were mostly in the $70 range.
