5 Early Spring Fashion Favorites

Lately in Dallas, spring has been hinting at us what is ahead. We have had a couple days in the 60’s and 70’s this past week which gets me eager for spring fashion. Today I’m sharing a few early spring fashion favorites to get a jump start on longer days, sunny skies and blooming flowers!

5 Early Spring Fashion Favorites

Mustard Yellow

When I wear a mustard yellow piece, it’s going to be a great day. Clothing, especially the color of clothing, has been shown to improve our mood and emotions. This uplifting color has been seen everywhere this season. Ann Taylor and Nordstrom are both showcasing a variety of mustard yellow pieces into their stores. I love this top, pictured below, for its bright color and ruffles. On a chillier day, it pairs nicely with a fitted blazer.

Blue Shift Dresses

I love this shade of blue for the early spring because it is an easy transition from winter to spring. It is dense and bold for the winter but embodies a little freshness for spring. Since the weather is still cool these shift dresses pair nicely with cozy cardigans. I love this style for occasions from Sunday church to date night.

Bold Embellishments

Ohhh honey, let’s make a statement! Glam it up with a few dazzling details. Whether it’s rhinestones, beading or embroidery, bring the party! This dress is one of my top favorites! The pink is no longer available but it’s just as pretty in a true navy. Or get it very similar in pink with the bell sleeves.

Elegant Midi Skirts

Spring is a romantic season. Flowers are blooming. The weather begins improving. Nature comes to life. Here in Dallas, this weekend starts the annual tradition of over 500,000 colorful blossoms making their appearance at the Arboretum. Elegant midi skirts are the perfect way to stroll the town on a sunny day. Even though they may appear on the fancier side, like this tulle and lace skirt below, midi skirts can be versatile as well. Dress them up with heels and a nice cardigan. Dress them down with a t-shirt and pair of Chuck Taylor shoes. These outfits can be simple in composition but classy in style.

Soft Stripes

Spring welcomes stripes with open arms. Stripes, especially a seersucker print, remind me of spring and summer days near the water. I love incorporating them into all aspects of my wardrobe, from dresses to blouses to espadrilles. Get ready to see soft stripes everywhere again this season and into the summer months. In regards to this particular dress, I will say it’s better for a non-petite frame. I am 5’3″ and thought the XS ran very big. Size down.

Get excited for the colorful spring season that is ahead of us! These are just a few early spring fashion favorites, but there are many more to come. Thanks for joining today and hope to see you back soon!

Live your life joyfully so,

Ashley
