Here in Dallas we have wildflowers blooming along the sides of the street. This light blue ruffle shift dress is a great find for spring and summer! Last weekend we made a quick trip down to Austin and the Texas Hill Country west of Austin to visit family. The area west of Austin is so pretty – you truly feel like you are in a different part of the country with rolling hills, turns lined with cacti and early spring blue bonnets. Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope your day is filled with love, whether from your significant other, friends or family. We celebrated last night with a delicious dinner and are heading down to the Texas Hill Country tomorrow to visit family. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! I was off work this weekend so we relaxed by going out to dinner and church. I wore this new dress to dinner and had so many compliments. This is the black dress for everything! From work to social events, this figure-flattering dress will earn its value!
I was a little hesitant about this dress at first because of its tight style, however it is so flattering! The fabric is soft and a little thicker so it doesn’t show subtle lumps and bumps, but rather just your natural hourglass curve!
The dress speaks volumes when worn by itself, but there are really so many ways you can wear this black dress. Add your favorite jacket/blazer/cardigan for cooler weather. Layer on a fur vest for a luxurious night out. Add a belt to the midsection. Style the dress with knee high boots. The dress works as a neutral canvas and can be created into your own style!
As for sizing, the dress fits true to size. The fabric is stretchy so there is a little flexibility between sizes. Because of the stretch, the length is slightly variable as well. I am 5’3″ and it falls a few inches above my knee, however you can pull the fabric a little higher or lower if desired.

If I had to have just one statement piece of the season, it would be this gorgeous sequin skirt! The satin ribbon with the luxurious color and quality combine to create a head-turning style. I am absolutely obsessed with this specific pink color – which in my opinion, is the perfect shade for this season and moving forward into spring.
