Valentine’s Day Guide: 2017

Hello friends! Whether you celebrate tomorrow as Valentines, Galentines or Anti-Valentine’s Day, it is always a lovely day to have fun and spread love. I delight in a little debauchery with chocolate and wine, but invite other new traditions and sweet treats to join. Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I have a last minute guide with ideas for outfits, gifts and food.

Outfits

Love the soft, romantic ruffles in this outfit. Layer with a cardigan or blazer for chilly nights.

This pretty indie dress can be worn as pictured or by lowering the sleeves for an off-the-shoulder look. It’s a little more pricey but just went on sale a few days ago.

One personal favorite so far this season is this pastel fit and flare dress. It will have you wanting to twirl away!

Gifts

Create a DIY frame to share one of your favorite photos together.

If you are giving gifts on Valentine’s Day, here is a Gift Guide for your man.

For the men, here’s a Gift Guide for your lady. Or ladies, a special way to treat yourself!

Valentine’s Day Eats & Treats

Sweeten the day with Strawberry-Pistachio Bark.

Shape refrigerated cinnamon rolls into hearts and bake. Drizzle the frosting over the rolls for a sweet start to the day.

While I shared these Chocolate Whiskey Truffles over the Christmas season, they are just as delicious for Valentine’s Day. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Create easy, decorative drink markers and stirrers for your favorite cocktails.

A hometown favorite, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, is sweet, rich and savory!

A simple yet romantic cake to show someone you care. This comes straight from my own man’s recipe box!

Whether you are staying home to celebrate (speaking from experience here, treat yourself!), enjoying the day with gal pals or with your significant other, don’t forget the meaning of the holiday: love. The world needs more of it. Hope you have a lovely day!

Live your life joyfully so,

Ashley
