Even though tie dye is very trendy right now, it still brings me back to the 90’s when we made tie dye shirts or had posters with tie dye backgrounds pinned on the walls. With the right colors, tie dye can bring fun colors into your spring and summer wardrobe. Some may even argue tie dye prints are comparable to summer floral styles with their current popularity. The warmer weather has officially started here in Texas, and I love it! Open toe shoes and sandals are making a reappearance. The weather has been incredible lately and I yearn to be outside enjoying nature’s beauty and tranquility. In my younger years, my motivation to be outside was to achieve tanned sun-kissed skin. While I can’t help but still love having that bronzed glow, we all know the UV radiation can wreak havoc on our skin. As a supporter of good skin care, I found ways to still achieve that summer tan while protecting our skin from the dangers of UV radiation. I put together a quick TikTok video on 5 steps to sun-kissed skin without the sun.
With quarantine still in full effect here in Dallas, we have been seeking outdoor areas for spring escapes. There is a park near Michael’s house that has fields bursting with blue, purple and red wildflowers! Yesterday we spent time enjoying each other’s company in the wildflower fields and doing a quick try-on session from a recent Old Navy spring haul since they have a big sale going on currently!
One thing I really try to focus on as a Physician Assistant is how everyday decisions can impact our health and environment down the road. With the current pandemic, we cannot stress the importance of self-care and wellness to keep our body strong and healthy.
