The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of my favorite sales of the year! It is wonderful because it is a sale before the season – in other words, you can get new fall pieces at a discount! The NSale has also proven to be an event where we can see what styles will be trending in the season ahead. I have been shopping the Nordstrom Sale for over a decade now (gasp!), have learned a few tricks and LOVE it! Let’s talk the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dates, details, and do a large try-on haul!

2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Tips
Preview + wish list = faster checkout. Before the sale goes live for your access tier, preview the sale and create a Wish List. This bypasses browsing time and helps you check out faster! Hot items sell out within minutes.
Don’t wait for reviews to trickle in, check fabric & fit descriptions. New arrivals won’t have many reviews, so instead check details like the fabric content, inseam, rise, heel height, etc… Nordstrom is good at including fit callouts like “runs large.” Compare to what you already own to gauge the best fit.
Or buy multiple sizes, return later. Nordstrom’s free returns make it worth buying multiple sizes in hot-ticket items (like denim, coats, or shoes) so you don’t miss out waiting to decide. Return what doesn’t work later, stress-free.
Take advantage of the app’s push notifications. Turn on notifications for restocks of sold-out items on your wishlist, price drops, and order status to stay ahead.
Consider paying for expedited shipping. This will expedite your order and give you the best chance to receive your items while still in stock.
Watch for restocks. In the past, Nordstrom has restrocked returns or extra inventory around 5–6 AM CST. Check your Wish List early in the morning!

Sizing reference: I’m 5’3″, 130 lbs, typically a true size small. In some cases the store did not have my size, but I give my best estimate on sizing with what was available.
Knit and Satin Midi Dress
This mixed media dress is gorgeous for fall! It’s one of those pieces that makes it look like you expertly coordinated the skirt, sweater and belt, but it’s all one piece. The skirt portion is flowy and romantic. I love that the sweater portion has gold button details and a coordinating, removable belt to cinch the waist. It’s a little romantic but also could be styled for the office! Wearing with nude sandals and gold earrings.

Briana Floral Dress
Love this pretty burgundy and pink floral print. The dress features balloon sleeves and has a romantic silhouette. Gorgeous!! Style with nude heels and gold jewelry.
Sizing: Wearing size XS, runs slightly big but has a comfortable fit!
Embroidered Minidress
Elegant fit-and-flare dress with embroidered detail in the chest, hem, and sleeves. Includes a ribbon tie belt. The color is deep navy tone; also comes in an autumn brown option. This navy would look so good styled with silver accessories – I think the silver would pop!

Perfect Tipped Sweater
Made of a soft, stretchy fabric, this sweater is perfect for fall in the south! I love the pastel blue, and it comes additional color options. Dress it up or down.

Gracie Wide Leg Jeans
True wide leg denim that offers stretch in the waist and a higher rise fit. This is a deeper wash and has an elevated look at a great price point!

Garden Delight Wrap Dress
Love the beautiful, artistic print on this wrap dress! Features a scalloped hem, plunging neckline and rich evergreen color with pops of pastel pink and champagne. This has beautiful attention to detail on the beaded tassel tie! Would be so fun with soft pink accessories!

Shirtdress
This is one of our favorite dresses! It’s traditional with a modern twist, and giving “country club” look. It is very much one that makes you feel elegant and polished when you put it on. Love the sage green color to wear from spring to fall.
Sizing: Wearing size 6 (this was already selling out in store!). Runs true to size.
Mixed Paisley Shirtdress
This has been a crowd favorite!!! The colors in this paisley print can be pulled in so many different directions. Both comfortable and versatile, this is a must for fall! This would be a great option for a Western style – add cowgirl boots, change out the belt, layer on silver jewelry!

Tie Neck Sweater
Made of a stretchy, sweater material, this feels similar to cashmere! The tie adds a little extra pizazz. I think people will either love or dislike the tie. I love this oatmeal color and it will wear well into fall!
