Styling a joyful life
While we may be staying home a lot more than usual, I have found this as an opportunity to update our own space and sanctuary. What’s more fun than a new doormat to invite you back home? Summer doormats are one of the fastest and easiest front door updates that can be done in minutes. Etsy is my go to resource for unique ideas. Below are some ideas for summer doormats and patriotic doormats.

Growing up we used to go to the lake and relax as a family on the water. My Grandma loved the idea and decided to purchase a condo that served as a meeting ground for family and friends. It is incredible to think of the many memories made under that roof. We celebrated birthdays, summer holidays and reunions. Recently I had the opportunity to revisit that little condo that stands for so much within our family. To pay tribute to those memories and kick off the start of summer, we made skinny watermelon frosé drinks! The simple ingredients are a refreshing way to embrace these summer months without extra guilt. Whether you are making a pitcher for you and a loved one, or keeping a batch ready after a sweaty day working out in the yard, this drink is sure to cool down the hot summer days.
“Skinny Watermelon Frosé Drink”With coronavirus restrictions limiting our whereabouts, the patio has been a very rewarding solution for relaxation. Michael and I have started utilizing his grill more frequently, and we have enjoyed our evenings sitting outside under the stars. While coronavirus has been interjecting in our lives in so many ways, I have appreciated the time to just ‘be still’. Sounds are limited to conversations and nature. Our evenings on the patio have become our little stay-cation. My patio has been due for an upgrade and this is the perfect time to do so. Memorial Day Patio sales are kicking off early and Wayfair and Target are here for the (at home) party!
Even though tie dye is very trendy right now, it still brings me back to the 90’s when we made tie dye shirts or had posters with tie dye backgrounds pinned on the walls. With the right colors, tie dye can bring fun colors into your spring and summer wardrobe. Some may even argue tie dye prints are comparable to summer floral styles with their current popularity. If you are looking for a way to “dip” into this trend further, here are a few affordable tie dye styles!
The warmer weather has officially started here in Texas, and I love it! Open toe shoes and sandals are making a reappearance. Today, I have some of the top eight designer shoe trends for spring and summer to get these sunny months started on the best foot! Many of the trends are made popular by lavish, but expensive designers, so we are going to cover affordable alternatives that won’t break the bank.
