This time of year, if it has sequins, I’m in! Something about metallic or black sequins during these last few weeks emulates the magic of the season! This rose gold sequin dress is priced under $40 and oh-so-wonderful for Christmas parties and New Years Eve!
Happy Holidays! This year, rather than do several gift lists, I decided do one “favorite things in 2019” post – a holy grail of items I love and use on repeat! All of these are tried and true items that some of my close friends and family have started using too! A few of these items I have mentioned before, but am going to share again if worthwhile. Whether treating yourself or as a gift to another, here are some of my recommended favorites for 2019!
This time of year I cannot get enough of fair isle sweaters! When I put them on in the morning they start off my day in the best mood. I think since fair isle prints are styles that I only wear for a few months out of the year, I really embrace and appreciate the days I wear fair isle cozy winter knits! Since they have been winter trending over multiple decades, I love the classic style mixed with a little prep and a hint of French après ski flair. But more that anything, I am a big supporter of investing in pieces that bring you joy – and these do just that! Here are two of my current fair isle sweaters that I am wearing on repeat, and a few other popular fair isle finds.
Maybe it’s the holiday lights or the Christmas music, but I am feeling fancy today! Y’all this dress is a STUNNER! Sharing this gorgeous dress that qualifies for extra gifts with purchase, plus a little weekend recap today!
There are so many ways to bring out the seasons in your daily outfits, but one of the easiest and most affordable ways I love adding holiday style to my wardrobe is with this favorite Christmas blanket scarf that is under $10! I love the deep reds and greens that highlight this scarf, with a subtle hint of navy and golden yellow. And y’all it is SO soft! Definitely a great deal with so many ways to style it!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We just returned after a hometown visit back to St. Louis. This year we divided up the Thanksgiving dinner responsibilities, so Michael and I took on making a pasta dish filled with cheeses, pumpkin and sage, as well as sweet potatoes. I used Pioneer Woman’s sweet potato recipe with half of the amazing, crumbly topping and it turned out perfect! Just the right amount of sweetness. Between cooking and playing with my nephews, we also managed to squeeze in some football!
