Summer dress season is here! From wedding events to parties, it’s the perfect time to whip out a statement dress and feel extra beautiful and fabulous. I love having a fun outfit to celebrate even the smallest of occasions. When my Mom visits Dallas, it has become a tradition to walk around the Dallas Arboretum in the mornings. When is the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Save the date! Nordstrom cardholders traditionally get early access to the sale before the general public, giving the option to purchase the best items that usually sell out quickly. Early access for Nordstrom cardholders will begin on July 12 – July 19, 2019. Nordstrom has announced the sale will to the general public run July 19 – August 4, 2019.
What sells out first?
Shoes and seasonal staples are some of the first to sell out. New releases of Vince Camuto booties are always a popular item. Lace camis at a bargain price are a must buy early in the sale. Versatile cardigans for the cooler months also go quickly. In general, items under $100 are the hot price point for the sale! Some of these items will be restocked at full price after the sale, while others are completely gone after they sell out.

Shop early! The best deals go very quickly!
Consider getting a Nordstrom Card. Not only does this provide perks and Nordstrom dollars throughout the year, but it also gives that valuable early sale access! Many of the best discounts will sell out by the third day of the sale, i.e. before they are available to the general public. I am a debit card holder as it doesn’t affect your credit and connects directly to my checking account. You also get a $40 bonus note when you make any purchase at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack on your new card the day you are approved.
Write out items that you will need for the upcoming seasons and any vacations. New boots? Jacket? Leggings? This is also an opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping.
Plan a budget. I’m a firm believer of capitalizing on sales, but still shopping smart and sticking to financial goals. We got this, ladies!
Be sure to check out the makeup deals. There are great palettes and combo packs (such as lip kits or eye combos) from high-quality makeup companies that are on sale.
If between sizes or uncertain, buy both sizes. If you choose the incorrect size, there may not be an opportunity to exchange sizes due to how quickly items sell out. Nordstrom’s return policy during the sale is usually pretty awesome and you can always return what isn’t needed!

This is an easy top to throw on when you just need something simple without putting too much thought into the outfit. The sleeves tie up on the sides to make a 2/3 sleeve length. Sizing does run a little big, so size down if between sizes. Pair with a cami on the lighter colors as the fabric can be slightly sheer. Available in several color options, have fun with this cool, flowy blouse!
Short Sleeve Pleated Dress
This was my boyfriend’s top pick! With a fitted waist and pleated skirt, this dress is super flattering. I love the soft fabric that has a slight stretch. Pair it with your favorite hat on a sunny day for extra summer style.
Spaghetti Strap Romper
Super casual, this romper reminds of wearing gym shorts with a tank top. There is nothing fancy about this romper, but yet the look works perfectly for a hot summer day or coverup for the pool. It does run a little shorter in length, so I’d recommend this for my petite or average height friends. When out and about, I wear it with a strapless bra and flip flops.
Beaded Chandelier Earrings
I have had these earrings for about two years and love them for their versatility. They are simple enough to wear with a solid t-shirt, but dressy enough to style with a sundress. Available in approximately 15 colors and priced around $10, these were an easy “yes” for me!
