Lilly Pulitzer Current Favorites

Sweater tanks have become a recent favorite. They are the perfect way to dip your toe into fall style but still cool enough for warmer days. I ordered this Corbyn Fringe Sweater Tank and have found it is the easiest top to throw on with jeans, white shorts or a pair of coordinating printed pants! This top fits true to size and is bra friendly! I wear this tank so often that I am considering the blue Corbyn and this crochet version (not Lilly). Gold accessories complement this top nicely and provide a late summer glow! Pictured are lace earrings and a gold bamboo bracelet.

Autumn Ruffle Midi Dress

Regarding the navy dress above, oh my gosh it is GORGEOUS in person!! So flattering! I love that the waist is fitted and the rest of the dress is a little looser with a flowy skirt. It is labeled as a “midi dress” but fits as a maxi on me. I’m 5’3″ and wearing flats in this photo for reference.

2020 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale Talk

I mentioned in Part One that I am unsure if there will be an After Party Sale this season. Now that it’s September, there still has not been an After Party Sale completely confirmed, however it’s looking like the big sale will be back this season!

Here’s what I know: I have spoken with corporate and my local Lilly Pulitzer store. Today, Lilly Pulitzer’s corporate office said, “We do think that there will be an After Party Sale but they haven’t confirmed dates.” So, they are sounding much more optimistic that there will be a 2020 Summer After Party Sale! Cue the hallelujah hands!

When will the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale occur? The date is always a mystery! I do not work for Lilly Pulitzer and I have no insider information, but I have a few thoughts in mind. Based on their current promotions, it will be after September 7th. I think the sale will be in September just for the logical reason that corporate will want to boost Q3 sales. Traditionally, the online sale has started on a Monday, so if the sale follows the typical pattern, that would indicate a sale start date of September 14th, 21st, or 28th this year. I was told by my local Lilly Pulitzer store that the After Party Sale will only be virtual this year in an effort to limit crowds due to the pandemic. Shopping in pajamas from home always works for me!

Since it’s looking more optimistic that there will be an After Party Sale, let’s dive into more After Party Sale info!

2020 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Recommendations and Tips

Because of the popularity of the sale, it is great to have a plan in advance in order to have the best experience!

Create an account in advance. When you are shopping online, items are not reserved until you check out. To decrease the odds of items being removed from your shopping cart, it is best to have your account information (address, contact information, etc…) already saved for an efficient checkout.

Know your size. Get a good idea in this size guide. All sales are final and inventory moves quickly!

Read the After Party Sale FAQ. (Link will be updated closer to sale) This will be updated a few days prior to the sale and give important details.

Be ready for the sale to start! The online sale usually begins at 7 am CST on a Monday. (Exact date TBD.) It is best to be ready for the sale 5 minutes prior and enter the website at exactly 7:00 am CST. You will likely get placed into a virtual line with an estimated time to enter the sale. It’s important to not close browsers.

Stock up on gifts! This is a great time to stock up on gifts for birthdays and holidays. While Lilly Pulitzer did surprise us with a Black Friday sale last year, Lilly does not traditionally have a sale in the timeframe between the Summer APS and the post-holiday Winter APS.

Make a strong coffee and have fun! My friends and I love these sales!!

2020 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Pricing Estimates

While I do not have the exact prices and items, below is a list of price estimates for the Lilly Pulitzer 2020 After Party Sale.

Women’s Dresses

We all know Lilly Pulitzer has the BEST dresses! On my wish list are sweater dresses this year! The Bartlett Dress is SO cute in person (the photos don’t do it justice) and it may be available in a few options this sale. I also love the midi dresses because at 5’3″ they tend to fit me like a maxi dress – always a favorite for fall and winter! The Adalee Dresses are very classy! I love the pearl detail and adjustable center front zipper. This may be featured as a light blue option in the After Party Sale.

Women’s Tops

There are so many great tops to keep an eye on for this After Party Sale. Given the amount of people working from home on Zoom chats, I anticipate tops will be big sellers. I like the Florin Tops because they are reversible (love having options!), bra-friendly and layer well with cardigans in the cooler months. Elsa Silk Tops are a show-stopper and can layer well with vests.

Sweaters and Cardigans

Bring on sweater weather! Every year I always have a big recommendation: the Harp Wraps! They are truly a little piece of luxury and timeless. I layer mine over tanks, long sleeve t-shirts and blouses. Use them inside chilly restaurants, work meetings or when traveling. I haven’t tried the Terri Cashmere Wrap, but those also have incredible reviews. I will be stocking up on a lot of cardigans this sale because they layer so well with a variety of tanks and dresses.

Bottoms

Truthfully, I don’t know how popular non-athletic bottoms will be in the sale this year since most people are focus on tops lately in 2020. So I imagine there will be more bottoms than usual in this sale. The cutest shorts in my opinion are the 5″ Katia Short. The colors look so pretty on this flowy fabric and they are very comfortable. Speaking of comfort, these are on my radar for their mid-rise, flowy style.

Activewear

I am all about the activewear this sale! Lilly Pulitzer has a wonderful selection of UPF 50+ clothing that is so important for skin protection all year round. I recommend the tradition UPF 50+ Skipper Popover – they usually have a few options in every sale. If you were to ask my fiancé, he would say I wear mine all the time! (Don’t confuse this with the round hem option which has a different fit/quality.) I am all about the high rise leggings this season too. Just a heads up, the activewear category will probably go quicker than usual since most people are staying home more.

Girls / Boys / Men / Accessories

If you are getting ideas for holiday family photos, I encourage you to check out the family matching page in advance. In the year’s past, coordinated mother/daughter items tend to sell out early. As far as accessories, I always love stocking up on Lilly’s gold jewelry during the sale because it tends to go with a variety of outfits.
