Early Fall Basics

Happy Labor Day Weekend! This weekend makes it feel more official to welcome in early fall basics for the season. Whether it’s a good sweater or chunky cardigan, it’s nice to have options that are practical for a variety of occasions. I love this sweater paired with a favorite pair of jeans. It has a soft, scalloped trim and is light with pointelle stitching making it a great option for the transition into fall. I also layer with a cami. Starting with a neutral palette, the options to complete the outfit are limitless. Add your favorite accessories for a personalized look.

One option to dress up a basic outfit, is to add a leopard or snake skin printed accessory! A little animal print can go a long way. I love this clutch because it has shiny gold detailing and is fairly priced at $38. Pointed toe booties are also a hot item this season. These booties I’m wearing are a similar, more affordable option compared to the very popular Gigiettas.

What is everyone doing for Labor Day tomorrow? I always love this weekend because of the longer weekend, sales and start of college football season! If you are planning on shopping, J.Crew, LOFT, Old Navy, Kendra Scott, Vineyard Vines and Nordstrom are a few of the places with really good sales this weekend!

I have to cover part of this weekend at the hospital, but Tuesday we leave for Banff! If you have ever been, please send me any and all suggestions or favorite restaurants!

Live your life joyfully so,

Ashley
