Happy Easter | Exciting Update!

Hello friends and happy Easter! I hope everyone is doing well despite our current circumstances. With all the current chaos in the world, I am trying find peace by focusing on the positives. I work full time as an ER Physician Assistant and have been taking care of lower risk COVID-19 patients, and my heart is full of love from community support! Each day I am greeted by hand-crafted notes of encouragement from local children – their love and creativity has been a fantastic way to start the day! These notes and pictures are taped up on the walls in the Physician/Physician Assistant workspace and have become our cheerleaders throughout this time, keeping us motivated and positive through each shift.

And on a personal note, I have a very exciting update to share…!!

Weekend Getaway to Austin

We were able to kick up our boots and enjoy a weekend getaway in Austin and the Texas Hill Country, filled with good food and spring fashion.

Last weekend we made a quick trip down to Austin and the Texas Hill Country west of Austin to visit family. The area west of Austin is so pretty – you truly feel like you are in a different part of the country with rolling hills, turns lined with cacti and early spring blue bonnets. Kick up your boots with us as we dive into some hotspots from this weekend getaway to Austin and the Texas Hill Country.

The Black Dress for Everything | Under $50

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! I was off work this weekend so we relaxed by going out to dinner and church. I wore this new dress to dinner and had so many compliments. This is the black dress for everything! From work to social events, this figure-flattering dress will earn its value!

I was a little hesitant about this dress at first because of its tight style, however it is so flattering! The fabric is soft and a little thicker so it doesn’t show subtle lumps and bumps, but rather just your natural hourglass curve!

The dress speaks volumes when worn by itself, but there are really so many ways you can wear this black dress. Add your favorite jacket/blazer/cardigan for cooler weather. Layer on a fur vest for a luxurious night out. Add a belt to the midsection. Style the dress with knee high boots. The dress works as a neutral canvas and can be created into your own style!

As for sizing, the dress fits true to size. The fabric is stretchy so there is a little flexibility between sizes. Because of the stretch, the length is slightly variable as well. I am 5’3″ and it falls a few inches above my knee, however you can pull the fabric a little higher or lower if desired.
